You too can be an artist...with fabric. Students work on their own individual, simplistic or extremely complex, custom-designed masterpieces. The quilted wall hanging, or framed artwork, created with the Snippet technique will capture the eyes of everyone. This class gives a comprehensive picture of the snippet technique. Cindy includes a trunk show of Snippet projects and covers the steps of turning a snippet top into a quilt, including free-motion quilting. (Accompanying publication: Snippet Sensations or More Snippet Sensations) Spectacular Snippet Landscapes, 6 - 8 hours, Easy to advanced (no machine needed, full day) This class is similar to the General Snippet class with the exception that students work on individual projects creating the landscape of their choice. Every student will be successful because landscapes are inspiring. Cindy includes a trunk show of Snippet landscape projects and covers the steps of turning a snippet top into a quilt, including free-motion quilting, and makes this workshop enjoyable. Snippet Flower Bouquet, 3 - 4 hours, Easy (no machine needed, half day)
This workshop is for the “Snippet” beginner. You will learn enough about the Snippet technique to create a beautiful flower bouquet. A great way to use up your fabric scraps. Custom-design the colors in your flower bouquet to match your decor. This is a fun class for everyone; you do not need to be creative to be successful. Christmas Snippet Wreath & Tree, 3 - 4 hours, Easy (no machine needed, half day)
This workshop is for the true “Snippet” beginner or someone who just wants a fast project. Make this easy Christmas wreath (or a wreath for any season) using Cindy’s new technique. If you need a quick Christmas present, this class is for you. A great way to use up your fabric scraps. This class is fun for all ages; you do not need to be creative to be successful. Fine Hand Quilting, 4 hours, Easy (no machine needed, half day)
Learn how to hand quilt in just a few hours. Or, if you already hand quilt and would like to perfect your stitch, this class is also for you. Learn about the tools of the trade, basting, marking, and preparing the project to quilt. Spend several hours practicing the stitch. Cindy has taught this class for over a decade and it remains her favorite class to teach. You are guaranteed to be satisfied. Attic Windows, 6 - 8 hours, Easy (machine needed, full day)
This is a great basic quilting class for the beginner. Cindy will teach fabric selection, rotary cutting, piecing, machine quilting, binding, and how to make a perfect miter. Fabric Painting, 6 - 8 hours, Easy (no machine needed, half or full day)
Learn to paint your own contemporary fabric in just one day. No mess, no hassle, and no complicated recipes with paints, simply heat set with an iron at the end. In class, you learn 8 of the most popular paint application methods including different brush stokes, scrunch, and sponge, spray, over-painting and heliographic.
